![]() ![]() That also includes spite scooping, targeting you because of personal reasons, harrassment, etc. ![]() The only thing i hate on a moral level is if someone is trying to ruin the game on purpose. I really don't understand why people care so much. You played into countermagic and player C did not because they waited for a better time and had turn order advatnage here. I don't care if i'm player A, you're B going for the win, and i accidentally cause player C to win. You are the one who played into countermagic. I mean if you literally can't stop Pact of Negation from resolving, who told you that you deserve to win? Why do you deserve to win that turn? It doesn't matter if its less than 1% chance to save yourself, you play to your outs and everyone else quit crying you got countered. You don't know the next player won't cast a Wheel and you gain new options - we are all aware that some lines can win at instant speed right? You absolutely can be pretty sure you will lose but you really don't know what else others have, or that you'll be able to trigger/cast a draw and get Dark Ritual, Stifle, Angel's Grace. Maybe i estimate you have a counterspell and you might counter my pact - this may open more interaction from other players (such as flusterstorm or mindbreak). Maybe you shouldn't play your game winner into countermagic? How is that on me? Its a competitive game, am i supposed to feel bad for you that your game winning combo only took 1 person out and not all 3? I will counter your spell and stay alive as long as possible. I always get downvoted for this lol but oh well, keep crying. Only babies cry when your game winning spell gets countered by pact and the caster doesn't have the mana for their upkeep. In any other game, if someone stops me from winning, even at the cost of themselves it isn't a spite play- I just didn't play around their interaction. Again, imo, seems like you just combo'd off too early and didn't reduce interaction. If anything it can be looked at as a sacrifice by that player for the pod to continue a potentially good game. ![]() It's the correct one for all involved, as there are 3 more players. Aside from kingmaking, stopping you from winning isn't a spite play. To call it a spite play means you felt you deserved a win you didn't get, but we are in a cedh subreddit. For all we know, you rushed your combo, got stopped, and someone else won due to your decision to go for it. You didn't even state you had a kingmaking discussion, either, and we don't know if your play was perfect to prevent another piece of interaction. Imo you come across as a bit salty, like how you became petty and refused to play with them again. It's not deterministic who wins if you're stopped and everyone should play to their outs.
